Jonathan Shields has taught Economics and Business Studies at A level for over 25 years. In 2026, his pupils achieved 100% A*–A grades in A level Economics and A level Business, with 66% achieving an A*.
A multiple award-winning teacher, former Head of Sixth Form, Head of Economics and Business, and Director of Teaching and Learning, Jonathan is also principal examiner for Business at Edexcel and an Ofqual subject expert. His students have achieved UK first places in external examinations 20 times, and he has mentored pupils to win 22 UK and international competitions.
