Mr Shields has taught Economics and Business studies at A level for over twenty-five years, most recently at Harrow School Online, where his pupils achieved 86% A*-A grades in A level Economics in 2023. He is a multiple award-winning teacher, a chief examiner for GCSE Business for Edexcel, Principal Examiner for A Level Business and an OFQUAL subject expert in Economics and Business. The students Jonathan has taught have achieved UK first places in external examinations on 20 separate occasions, and he has mentored students to win 22 UK and International Business and Economics Competitions, including the International Business Olympiad, UK Young Enterprise and Student Investor competitions.
