GCSE Biology Taster Lesson
Our Taster Lessons are live events that give you the opportunity to meet our expert teachers and see what teaching and learning is like at our ground-breaking online school. Our Biology Teacher, Ms Emma Kemp-Gee, will lead an interactive lesson that will give you an idea of what it’s like to study her subject at GSCE level and will offer you the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about Biology GCSE and/or teaching and learning at Highgrove Online School during our Q&A.
Emma Kemp-Gee has taught Biology in boarding and grammar schools in the UK since 2010, and has previously held roles as Head of Biology and Head of Years 12 and 13. More recently, since December 2023, she has stepped out of the classroom to focus on teaching online and individual tuition. Alongside her teaching work, Ms Kemp-Gee has extensive experience as an examiner for Biology GCSE for a leading UK exam board. She has enjoyed a variety of responsibilities including preparing students for Biology Olympiads and supporting pupils with UCAS applications for biology-related courses such as Medicine and Dentistry.
Ms Kemp-Gee holds a BSc in Biomedical Science from Kings College London, a PGCSE in Science from Kingston university and a first class Masters degree in Educational Neuroscience from University College London.
