Our Taster Lessons are live, interactive sessions designed to introduce you to our experienced teachers and give you a real sense of what learning looks and feels like at our innovative online school. In this session, our Geography Teacher, Ms Heather Clements-Wheeler, will guide you through an engaging mini-lesson that showcases what studying Geography at GCSE level involves. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the GCSE course or about studying at Highgrove Online School during the Q&A.
Heather Clements-Wheeler brings more than twenty-five years of teaching experience, including a decade working in online education. She holds seven academic qualifications, among them a BA and PGCE in Geography and an MSc in Meteorology and Climatology from the University of Birmingham. She has also recently completed her third master’s degree at the University of Cambridge, focusing on online geography assessment. A founding fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, she additionally serves as one of their leadership assessors.
