International Modular GCSE

Paper 1Non-fiction Texts and Transactional Writing (135 minutes). 60% of the total International GCSE.
Paper 2Poetry and Prose Texts and Imaginative Writing (90 minutes). 40% of the total International GCSE.

Progression

English Language is one of our compulsory subjects for full time students, alongside Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English Literature. Pupils gaining a 7 or above in GCSE English Language will be eligible to study subjects with an essay-writing requirement at A level.
