Aminah Hussen

Aminah Hussen is committed to helping individuals recognise their unique strengths and develop strategies to overcome challenges, enabling them to access a broader curriculum, find joy in learning, and reach their full potential. She believes deeply in the value of a personalised approach for each learner, regardless of diagnosis, and champions the acceptance of neurological diversity as a natural part of human variation.

After completing her undergraduate degree at London School of Economics, Ms Hussen retrained in Education in 2010. She completed her PGCE and qualified with the National SENCO Award, gaining experience in both state and independent schools, as well as in physical and online learning environments. With a particular focus on neurodivergent conditions, working memory, and processing challenges, she takes a lead role as SENCO in identifying and delivering appropriate support for students.

Her responsibilities include managing access arrangements for exams, organising interventions for reading and spelling, and designing programs focused on emotional regulation and social skills.

Ms Hussen has completed the CCET (Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing) through the British Psychological Society and is also a certified Leadership Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Prior to joining Highgrove Education, Ms Hussen held the position of SENDCo at Harrow School Online.
