Jane Sheldon

Jane Sheldon has taught English Language and Literature for over thirty years. She holds a senior role at one of the UK’s leading exam boards, where she works in specification development and delivery of professional development for teachers. 

Ms Sheldon worked at Stanwell School in South Wales for twenty-eight years and as an Education Consultant for Shakespeare’s Globe, London. 

Ms Sheldon has extensive experience of teaching all secondary school ages, with a focus on examination years. Lively engagement, curiosity and a warm approach are at the heart of her teaching, where she encourages students to identify their goals and supports them on their journey to achieve these.

Ms Sheldon graduated with a degree in English Literature and a Post-Graduate in Education from Swansea University.  She took up a teaching role in Nagasaki, Japan, before returning to teach English in the UK.  She has written numerous English Literature study guides for Hodder Education and Globe Education, specialising in Shakespeare’s plays.

In her spare time, Ms Sheldon is a keen runner, taking part in local and national races.  She lives on the South Wales’ coast with her husband and daughters.
