Miriam Vilar Gayoso

Miriam has been teaching languages for more than 10 years, working for schools in both Spain and the UK. In the past 3 years, she has worked with schools across the country teaching English language and literature as well as Spanish and French online at a secondary level. 

By the end of her baccalaureate, she could speak 4 languages fluently. She continued to study French, Spanish, and English at a higher level and graduated from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with a BA honours degree in English Language and Literature. She then undertook a TEFL certification and taught English in Spain for several years, eventually working as a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge English Language Assessment.

Ms Vilar Gayoso moved to the UK, where she gained a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages at the University of York. Ever since she has taught the English Curriculum, delivering lessons adapted to different exam board specifications, including AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas and Cambridge IGCSE, as well as acting as an examiner for AQA.

Ms Vilar Gayoso has two pet cats. She enjoys arts and crafts and loves reading.
