Sophia Huang has taught Mandarin Chinese for over twenty years since her first UK post as a full-time visiting lecturer in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Cambridge. She has taught
GCSE and A level Chinese in a number of leading secondary schools in the UK and has additionally worked as an examiner of Chinese. A great number of her students have become bilingual experts in business, politics, academia and multi-media around the globe.

Ms Huang holds a BA in Philosophy from the National Taiwan University and an MA in Asian Studies on Philosophy, History of Art and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from the University of Hawaii under the prestigious East-West Center Scholarship, funded by the American Congress. In addition to her teaching roles, she has supported the authoring of various language-learning publications and was filmed and interviewed by BBC TV for leading Chinese Immersion Courses to gifted and talented pupils. In her spare time, Ms Huang enjoys playing Chinese violin and table tennis, and capturing images in nature.
