In this elective we will explore the work of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Damien Hirst, and other contemporary artists interested in anatomy. We will learn about the history of human dissection and artists documentation of this through time and look at how anatomy and art support science and medicine even today. You will develop your observational skills through a variety of drawing exercises, learn how to visually record information and present it using a variety of media. Anyone interested in medicine or dentistry will find this a wonderful, creative way to explore the theme of anatomy and anyone interested in art will be able to refine and develop their skills based on exploration of the human and animal forms.
